Our Story

As a graduate of Boğaziçi University, Ali has four years of controller experience gained from various financial positions in different organisations. He is using his diverse background in finance to improve aCFO's services.

 

He joined ACFO early 2024 as a Business Controller, responsible for making sure that our clients are in control.  Amongst others he manages the financial administrations, and prepares monthly management reports comparing actuals & rolling forecasts against budget, and tracks KPI's.
 

Currently pursuing an MSc in Finance & Investments at RSM, Erasmus University Rotterdam, with a keen interest in corporate finance (advisory) and software development. Beyond my studies and work, a 1st XV player for Rotterdam Rugby Club (RRC) and Nederland Studenten Team (NST).

 

Product Owner at aCFO, responsible  for developing an  interactive web-based B2B SaaS scale-up decision support application for founders & management team and VC's.

Graduated from the ROC in The Hague - MBO 4 Financial administration - in 2018 and had several jobs since, a.o. Client Service Employee for the Royal Dutch Touring Club ANWB.

Darwin started working for aCFO in 2021 and is now fully responsible for the financial- and payroll administration of aCFO clients. 

All round finance professional with 40+ years of experience in both SME and international corporate environments.

Last 10 years working as a financial manager for B2B SaaS start-ups and scale-ups in the Amsterdam region.

 

For aCFO Willibrord is a Senior Business Controller for our clients. Born, raised and still living in Amstelveen, together with Liesbeth. Father of two adult sons. Trying to keep fit by attending gym classes twice a week, playing some tennis and cycling to the office. 

Final year HBO Accountancy student at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences working on his thesis at aCFO about improving the Administrative Organisation & Internal Control at one of aCFO's customers.

 

In addition, he assists the business controller's and financial administrators with day-to-day tasks. After finishing his thesis, he is looking forward to start as a business controller at aCFO.

Senior finance professional with 25 years experience in financial- and payroll  administrations for various companies.

Judith started working for aCFO in 2023 and is now fully responsible for the financial- and payroll administration of aCFO customers. She has been able to integrate aCFO best-practices aligned with  the customer enhancing process efficiency.

Forward-thinking Global Senior Executive with over 25 years of international leadership experience in Finance, M&A and Commercial roles in various industries. Capable of driving change and growth in challenging environments across cultures and borders.

The last seven years Cees has worked as CFO for BOAL Group, a private equity backed company with EUR 270M in revenues and 600 employees worldwide. As CFO, Cees was end-responsible for Finance and IT. During his time at BOAL achievements include securing debt financing and positioning the company for a Private-Equity investment, executing a buy-and-build strategy and implementing a new ERP system. 

Started his career as an Accountant and Corporate Finance consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers Amsterdam & Istanbul, and left PwC to start-up Appjuice (CRM SaaS). Before Hans founded aCFO in 2016, he worked as a Finance interim manager & business consultant in various sectors a.o. the financial services, manufacturing, real estate, telecom & internet and logistics sector.

At aCFO Hans supported several (technology) scale-ups in navigating the complexities of growth to the dot on horizon, including raising venture capital.

As a student at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, specializing in Business Administration with a focus on entrepreneurship, Sam brings a fresh and dynamic perspective to aCFO. 

​

With experience in sales and investment analysis, Sam has developed a keen understanding of business growth, sales and financial strategy.

Currently, as a Sales Trainee at aCFO, Sam is sharpening his skills in delivering tailored financial solutions to B2B SaaS companies, while also writing his thesis at aCFO.

After fulfilling financial roles in various companies (mostly in the real estate and energy business), Reinier started working as a Finance interim manager & pricing consultant in 2014. Since then he has succesfully completed various assigments in the logistics, IT and financial services sector, a.o.

Reinier likes to act as Finance business partner, controlling the business by creating insightful analyses for decision making purposes for management.

Having a long professional relationship with Hans, Reinier has been assisting aCFO on an interim basis since 2019. Reinier's main focus has been on the creation and continuous improvement of the monthly financial reporting and forecast models, as well as the customization of financial and business specific analyses for (new) customers.

Currently in the final year of my Robotics Master’s program at TU Delft, I have a strong passion for machine learning and software development, with hands-on experience across multiple projects.

 

Alongside my academic interests, I’m also drawn to finance and enjoy exploring the intersection of these fields.

Bart is an unconventional, energetic people manager with a robust background in business information and finance. Over 30 years of experience in international finance and project management roles. Core values include integrity, loyalty, and a no-nonsense problemsolving mentality.

 

As of January 2025 Bart will be available at aCFO for fractional CFO assignments.
